This is what we watched in Film Studies tonight. It’s a silent film, about 75 minutes long. It was actually pretty funny, until the end started to drag on a little and I got bored. 

Basically it’s about this young college graduate who goes down to Mississippi from Boston to help out his dad, who is a steamboat captain. He falls in love with his dad’s rival’s daughter and chaos ensues. There was this whole hurricane scene at the end though which I feel like had nothing to do with the original plot, and it just kept going. But anyway, I enjoyed it until the end.
